White Wedding in November

Brother #4 is to marry this November.

His bride seems to be a bright and intelligent girl but she blew a fuse. She insists on an outdoor wedding for 4th of November. This would be OK if they were having the ceremony in the Caribbean. But this takes place in MICHIGAN! She can’t plead ignorance as she has lived there all her life. Perhaps she is merely possessed by demons. Or maybe she hopes the white of the dress will match the snow. I don’t know what the bride and groom will be wearing, but I have parka and long johns ready. I have visions of the ring bearer preceded by a man shoveling the aisle for the bride to walk down.

It could happen; and in November in Michigan, it is likely!

I know...my nephew and his wife were married OUTDOORS in an August wedding...IN PHOENIX. It actually worked out well with the sun setting - it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be...perhaps your future sister-in-law and brother will be as lucky?

Michael, you will be happy to know that Chicago's first snowfall of the year was yesterday. It produced measurable accumulations at both airports. It snowed in Michigan, too, so your concerns may not be too far off.

I'll bet it was nice and warm in Phoenix.

Well, it does appear that she needs an intervention here. I love cold weather, but I would never schedule an outdoor wedding in Michigan in November. Somebody's elevator is not going all the way to the top.

FYI - it dropped over night here (eastern PA) from 60 to the low 30's - major frost. Buffalo, NY had 8+ inches of snow.

Tell her if she wears white no one will see her.

WTF? After yesterday, I certainly hope she's reconsidering!!!!
And for the record: it did NOT all go away -- there's still snow in the grass this morning!

Today, we're under a "severe wind advisory" and the WIND CHILL here in Southern Michigan (wind chill -- it's toooo effin' early for Wind Chill!!!) is 25° here right now!

I hope for your sake this whacko wenchie is reconsidering, or the target of an intervention by more sane folk.

What does brother #4 have to say about this? Is he a silent partner in this consolidation?

By ritual, the bride does have a lot of say, but........this case definitely call for a mediator.

They say stress does things to the brain. Perhaps she just likes the snow....

In order for her dress to match the snow she would have to find one that is all gray and slushy. If so please post a photo; this I've gotta see.

Spo,

You are twisting the facts like a FOX news reporter! If you stayed in touch with family instead of blogging so much, you'd know that the wedding has an option for the outdoors, but will likely be inside unless a Michigan Summer happens to roll-in. You keep your pants on and stick to the facts!
