How Does That Make You Feel?
It's another "How Does That Make You Feel? Thursday!
You are 10 years old in this one.
Your father, mother, siblings - even Granny - line up in front of you. They have an announcement. Father speaks -
“Bad news- we’re all out of our minds.
You’re going to have to be the lone healthy person in this family”.
“And how does that make you feel?”

This would have given me a head start, since it turned out that I am, in fact, the one sane person in my family.
I actually found that out at 9. lol
So read my blog to see how it makes me feel.
Check out the walking in my shoes section
I agree with the other comments. I would have been able to go on and take that role ahead of schedule. As long as I can remember I have been the "normal" one, at least in my eyes. I mean if you call graduating from high school and going on to college normal. If you call not being an angry alcoholic who abuses every one around them normal. If you call not having children because you aren't willing to care for them or don't want to beat them normal. Of course it gets old being the responsible one. Maybe I should gather my family together and tell them it's my turn to "be out of my mind".
I'm pretty sure I am the last sane member in my family. But then again I have always wondered if you would know when you're nuts.
(Are you sayin' that I stink a little? My nose isn't runnin'. *L*)
(Yeah, none of you are gonna get that unless you visit me too. So save your time.)
I think we always feel like we are the ones who are healthy. Of coures, I have had 5 years of therapy to reinforce that I am the healthiest of the sickos! Just remember, as someone else has said somewhere, I don't suffer from mental illness, I enjoy every minute of it!
Can't really answer that one since I'm the insane/black sheep of the family. Check back with me again when you have a "how does it make you feel?" regarding the family telling you that you are the odd one.
First, thank GODDESS you finally admitted it! Second, my attorney will be in contact for the child divorce proceedings, thank you very much!
Sometimes I think this happened in my family - and knowing me that is pretty damn scary!
I feel GREAT. I love being the one in CONTROL.
That me in a nutshell
A little bit of an ego boost--I would have some control.
Well since I have a very good relationship with my mom and six other siblings, if I heard that comment, I'd be overwhelmed and then I am sure I would feel exceptionally sad and lonely. We do so much together.
Well it certainly explains the loud piano playing and forced enemas.
I hate to say this, but my family was so "Leave it to Beaver-ish" up until my little sister turned 14 or 15. She went nutso for a good many years, but I was out of the house shortly after. My family lives 4.5 hours from Dallas so I only have to take control about 5 times a year when I visit. Happy Friday to all and have a fab weekend.
Like I have to change my underpants.
That would be pretty scary shit(pardon the pun) to hear at 10 years old!
Way too much drama...time for a new family.
