My Water Pitcher

I wanted to post this pitcher I created.

Last weekend our bear club Bears of the West hosted a fund raiser. It was at a store where you buy finished bits of pottery and paint them with glaze. Some of the proceeds went to ‘One in Ten’ which is a gay youth service centre here in Phoenix. It was a fun evening.
I purchased a plain pitcher and got five types of glaze – light blue, dark blue, purple, pink and green. These colours are a combination I learned from a psychic I visited once upon a time in New Orleans. She said my aura was deficit in these colours and I should surround myself with more of them. Well, I don’t know about that, but I do happen to like this colour combination. One of my homemade shirts has these 5 hues and it makes me feel good to wear it, so perhaps she was accurate.
Rather than painting pictures, I took rough pieces of sea sponge and dabbed the colours onto the pitcher. Someone decorated a plate.
I am pleased at how it turned out. The pitcher has a ‘cool’ feeling to it, just right for holding ice water.

Beautiful pitcher! I am surprised with all the blues that the psychic wanted you to have around! Blues are about concern for welfare of others and natural teachers, which you are. And somehow I don't think that you are a moody person. Interesting!

Is someone, someone special. It's so strange how it just appears out of nowhere in the post, or was the plate especially noteworthy? It think it's odd to be lacking in 5 colors, but then again I'm no psychic so perhaps I'm not measure of these things. I say you could even go colder than ice water. What about frozen beverages?

Kalvin -
"Someone" is code for my partner. His real name is David but I call him Someone to protect his innocence.

I love your pitcher. It reminds me of my grandmother. She had a pitcher like that placed in a large bowl(wash basin), in one of the bedrooms of her house.(it used to be an inn, many, many, years ago).

It had the exact same colors as yours but on hers, the dark blue was flowers.

Thanks for the wonderful memory. :)

If Someone is "innocent" then I'm the Pope!? lol

Nice job.

Would have been nice to include a pic of Someone's plate.

Will he serve you his meat and potatoes on it?!
Or tomatoes and hot pepper!?

lol

Sorry, I guess I haven't joked in a long time.

Thanks for the laugh!? lol

Very nice!

Somehow I always thought of you as a catcher, not a pitcher.

haha Okay that joke was lame, but I couldn't resist the set-up.

Nice! Every time I have done something like this, I end up with something I'd rather hide in the back of my closet or under my bed.

"just right for holding ice water",as is only appropriate for a pitcher, of course.
And I know that you're stunning in reds and yellows, so I suppose your color consultant/aura reader was just trying to bring out the full spectrum of the wonder that is you.

Sweetie, your aura is so NOT deficient in purple. You positively radiate purple. I'd ask the psychic for my money back. The pitcher looks great.
